Is subscription ID personal or should be kept private?

Hello,

I started to have an ongoing opportunity about a remote employment and the company I'm in touch wanted me to share the Default Directory page where my Subscription ID on Azure in it. So I wonder if it's confidential as a personnel information and the persons I share it can get a beneficiary on the account which I have credits (and of course it's linked to my credit card as well)?

Many thanks.

It is better to share only required details. In your case it is fine to share Subscription Id to the company as they are in touch with you.

Azure subscription Id is usually not treated as PII or secret because with just the Id, nobody can log into it or know what is subscription name or who are the users / owners etc.

Thanks for clarification but they have my name and address as well as the subscription id. Is it still safe to share as an official reveal?

Its fine, with name and address, they can't do anything. Only someone who has access to subscription id + other details like keys or tokens, resource name can access.

Hope the company is well trusted, reliable.

I have seen some questions here where people complained that some company offered job, asked to create azure account and asked for credentials and later never showed up.
