sync proxy address from onpremise to office 365 in Hybrid environment

Hi,

I am in a hybrid environment, with mailboxes existing on cloud and corresponding mail enabled object exist onpremise, when i try to sync proxy address that uses domain that does not exist as an accepted domain in office 365 it does not sync the proxy addresses.

Is it possible to sync proxy addresses with non verified domain in hybrid environment?

Thanks,
Harshit Malhotra

The domain needs to be added and verified in the tenant you are syncing to:

Hi Andy,

Thanks for Answering the query, i intend to only use the domain as an alias (secondary proxy address), do i need to re-run Hybrid wizard to include this domain? or only verifying the domain in office 365 will do?

Once you verify in 365, it should work as the objects are actually synced with AADConnect, not the Hybrid Wizard - so no need to re-run it.

Hi @Sehwag-5088 ,
You need to add and verify the corresponding domain in the Microsoft 365 admin center first, and then try to synchronize again.
For more informtion: Add a domain to Microsoft 365
