Windows server 2016 keeps rebooting every 15-20 minutes

Windows server 2016 keeps rebooting itself after 15-20 minutes
Hi
I am having an issue with my server 2016 which keeps rebooting itself after 15-20 minutes. I was wondering if someone can help troubleshoot.
It automatically goes to the blue screen with an error code "memory management"
Steps I have taken to troubleshoot but it is still not working.
1: spoken to the vendor to check if this is a hardware issue, no hardware errors found.
2: replaced the RAM and also tried re seating the working ram but no luck
3: scanned sfc /scannow
4: Memory diagnostic
5: If I boot the server into safe mode it works without issues.
6: There are hardly any 3rd party software installed but I removed all of them anyway but no luck
7: Event viewer and server manager displays error ID as 1001 with brief description "Windows bug check " please refer to c: windows32 for memory dump.dmp file. I have the file but don't know how to open it or read it.
I will really appreciate if someone can help?
Regards
FJ

Booting Safe Mode loads windows in a basic state, using a limited set drivers so I'd check the manufacturer's site for updated firmware, ROM bios, chipset and driver support pack. Likely is a problematic driver or defective / intermittent hardware.

Hi Patrick,

Thanks for ur response, I have spent time involving the hardware vendor updating the hardware.

Will you be able to read the dmp file if I attach it for you?

Sorry but dump debugging is beyond the scope of forums support. You could however start a case here with product support.
https://support.serviceshub.microsoft.com/supportforbusiness

the burden of support should be on the vendor, if they're unwilling then I'd suggest returning the hardware for credit.

Hey, i'm having the same issue with 3 servers. Can you elaborate anymore on what was causing this for you? Was it Acronis Cloud Backup?

That is correct, acronis has a service called device lock in task manager processes . Disable that from services. Are these physical or virtual servers

Let me know

Awesome, thanks! You just saved me working through the weekend formatting.

Physical servers, all with hyper-v role. All recently installed windows updates too.

I removed acronis, ran all pending windows updates, re-installed acronis. Apparently the acronis version was old so updated to the newest acronis build fixes the problem.

For those having unexpected shutdowns and restarts / BSOD:

a) open separate threads
b) run log collectors to collect dump files, msinfo32, dxdiag, event viewer system and application, etc.

c) self monitor:

d) open the website for the computer or motherboard manufacturer > support > drivers > post a URL or link
