Hello
last year we switch from Server 2008 to Server 2016 (same count of User, same Applications) but I think 2008 was better and 2016 is a step backward.
Why:
We use on Server 2008 with 200-300 Profiles and need less RAM and less CPUs!
Our old Server 2008 have 200-300 Profiles and 60-100User at same time! Server 2016 has Problem with more than 60 !!! we have expand the RAM and CPU and we need 2 Server and have twice as much work. 70-80 User is Limit.
Server 2016 create hundred firewall rules per User und hundred Services at logon Logoff! Is this a good design, if you have NO Contacts or Mail App on a Server?
Server 2008 takes 1-2min for a reboot - Server 2016 take 5-15min per reboot (VM-Ware) if you have many profiles!
Server 2016 has a design problem with printer. If you delete a profile for troubleshooting, Server 2016 store information at HKLM, so you have problem if you delete and recreate a new profile with same User (same Name)
do you known if 2019 is better?
