Site recovery failback

I unable to failback from Azure to alternate on-premise host machine different data disk (eg. drive E:\ of the host machine).
by default the failback VM is created in to the C:\ drive of the host machine. Is there any method that enables me to do that?

Happy to help @NigusuGemeda-2369 - pls answer these questions to better understand your failback scenario.

  1. Is your failback scenario Azure to VMWare or Hyper V?

  2. Are you familiar with the setup requirements needed to perform failback to an alternate location e.g. VMWare, Hyper V?

  3. Have you followed the steps to create a rentention drive on the master target server? (details below)

Just in case you havent seen this, review the detailed guide on failback tasks. Specifically, how to create and deploy a master target server (snippet below).

Hope this helps.

Hi olufemiaMSFT,

Thanks for the reply. to answer your questions below:

  1. Our failback senario is Azure to Hyper-v.

  2. Yes. I am familiar with the failback to alternate location requirments ( I have setup a new Host machine and created the same virtual switch like the original host machine vSwitch, but when I do a fail back, It do not give me an option to select the different data diks from the host machine to restore it there. by default, it restore it to the C:\drive of the host machine)
