Visual Studio 2019 .razor file Code Editor F1 Help

I am unable to navigate to the documentation (F1 Key) by selecting any element in the .razor file. However, F1 command works fine in both html and CS file.
Could you please help in resolving this issue?

Project: Blazor Web Assembly
IDE: Visual studio 2019

Hi Rayaprol,

You can open visual studio installer, then check if the ASP.NET and web development tool has been installed.

Thanks Dylan. I can confirm that the component "Asp.net and web development tools" is already installed on my machine.

Hi @Rayaprol, what is the pop-up page on your side?

  • If it is a all-documents page, it means that document library doesn't contain selected elements

  • If it is a introduction about F1 help, maybe you need to repair your visual studio.

Hi @DylanZhu-MSFT ,

I got the Code F1 Help Pop up page and as suggested repaired the visual studio 2019. This resolved the issue and now navigating smoothly to the relevant html tag help page. Thank your for your support.


Just also want to list similar issue. I am unable to navigate to the Microsoft Predefined razor component <AuthorizeView> help reference. The Razor file and pop up page image attached for your reference. Your expert suggestions in resolving this issue will be greatly appreciated.
