Microsoft Store for business crashes after update

Hi folks,

we have a problem with the Microsoft Store in our company. Nothing to find in www in this case so I try my luck here...

We use the Microsoft Store for business. Since the last automatic update of the store-app there is the problem that the app crashes when loading the site of an app. There is no chance to get apps in the store without crashing. On my PC the store updated four days ago. In the last week everything worked fine.

Does anyone have the same issue?

Affected version is: 12101.1001.14.0

It was possible to recreate the issue with a client which had the old version of Microsoft Store installed. We manually updated it and now with the new version it has the same problems.

Hello @JannikJger-1725

Some general troubleshooting steps you may take:

1). Select the Start button, and then select Settings > Update & Security > Troubleshoot, and then from the list select Windows Store apps > Run the troubleshooter;

2). Reset the Microsoft Store cache. Press the Windows Logo Key + R to open the Run dialog box, type wsreset.exe, and then select OK;

3). Settings > Applications > Applications and features > Click on Microsoft Store >Advanced Options > Repair and Reset ;

4). Start your PC in safe mode in Windows 10;

5). Processes and Services Engaged when you downloading app from store, check those services. Are they running when downloading?

Windows Store Install Service -- InstallService
Client License Service – clipsvc
Windows License Manager Service -- licenseManager
Windows Update – wuauserv
Delivery Optimization -- DoSvc

6). And any error messages from event log?

Hi,

thanks for the reply. We found that solution on the internet and tested it already. It works for the moment. But after a regular reboot the problem is still there. Also it isn't a practicable solution für hundreds of clients in our company.

This wouldn't solve the problem itself, an obviously faulty version of the store, only the symptoms, that the store crashes, are solved until next reboot.

so the issue is not only on one client but hundreds of them ?

Yeah, we figured out that not only one client is affected. The Microsoft store will update itself to the version mentionend above. So every client with this version of Microsoft store gets effected with these crashes. And in our case that will be hundreds.

Same Problem here.
We only use it for some apps for testing and let the users update their Windows apps.
But after OneNote is not updating - i tried to open the Store and select the App.
But everytime i select an app it crashes without further notice

Hello,

I don't know what Microsoft has done. But now it seems that the store is working again. I try that on some different clients now to check that for all clients.
