New authenticator device not recognised by external organisation

I just got a new mobile phone. I was able generate new QR code for the Microsoft Authenticator, however I also have access to an external organisation and I could not find out how to have a new QR code generated to move the authentication to my new mobile. Any guidance on this please??

The recommended way to migrate when getting a new phone is via backup and restore.

In your cause you might need to get help with that external organization, or temporarily disable your current two factor setting on your personal Microsoft account, then do backup and restore, and setup two factor authentication again.

Thank you. I did the backup and restore already. I am trying to get help from the external organisation, but most probably I have not been able to find the right contact / make them understand the issue. Any ideas on what should I specifically ask them? I understand they would need to delete the current authentication and add a new one / send me an email with the new QR code, correct?

You can just tell them you get a new phone and want to migrate the registration on Microsoft Authenticator to the new phone and they should know what to do. With the frequency of people switching phones nowadays they should have developed SOP for such task.
