Hello,
I recently bought a Longer LK5 pro 3d printer. I have tried over a dozen times to Un/Re-install CURA 4.8 software, as well as the LK5 firmware to the printer. (all seem to upload, and save fine, and it did allow me to control it for a test print once doing this, but did not print properly, or save in some way when my computer went to sleep). I cannot gain control of the printers actions using my Surface pro 7 even when directly wiring it to the printer, using proper cable, and Docking station. can you provide clarity on the following questions:
Any recommendations on fixing the connectivity issue?
Should I try an alt. application/Firmware, Both?
Since this model printer runs on fully open source code, what would be the difficulty level of creating a code sequence to allow the Print 3d app. to control the Longer LK5 pro 3d printer, or does one currently exist? (with little experience, and one person to assist who is Knowledgeable)
Is there a way to save the printer directly to My "device manager" window to a port showing the 3d printer in the devices page of the settings?
Could the files I am downloading for the Cura application be corrupted some way to prevent the overall control?
Much appreciated,
Jake.
