ADF Cost Analysis Tab - What is the resource guid ?

In the data factory -> view cost -> add filter -> there is a resource guid filter available. Which resources do these guids correspond to ?
If I search in the Azure portal for these guids, I dont see any results.

Thanks,
Kothai.

Hi @kothairamanathan-7384,

Thanks for using Microsoft Q&A !!
Resource GUID is not a Guid of an azure resource and it resembles Meter Id used as an identifier to price billing usage and each resource is associated to multiple meters. Those meters are responsible for the changes you see on your bill. Please refer to this YouTube channel for more information - How to use Azure Cost Management views | Azure Portal Series - YouTube.
You can check sample list standardized meters list over here. Also, please refer to the documentation - Update reports for improved meter names.

Additionally, Azure Data Factory billing is calculated based on - Pipeline orchestration/execution, data flow debugging/execution and no. of data factory operations (Refer to the Pricing details page. You can view the cost against specific meter types by selecting the filter as "Invoice Details" and using the tabled view from Cost Analysis page as shown below for more clarity -

Please let me know if you have any other questions.

Saurabh
