Career guidance in Database

Hi,

I have no prior experience in software lifecycle. although I am working as a Survey programmer from last 7 years. I have sound knowledge in this field and in programming too. Now I have decided to switch my career path in cloud computing. I am completely new to this field so I preparing for AZ-900 fundamentals through Microsoft official website. I had keen interest in Database field from my college days and at that time I had acquired good knowledge in database too. I am planning to get following certification AZ-900 fundamentals, AZ-900 Data fundamentals and DP-300.

what should I do to get hand-on real time project experience so that I can get entry in this field at any senior level rather than starting from start.

Or

I have to learn SQL server and should get expertise in SQL programming.

thank you, suggestions are welcome.

@AzureCracker-3769 AZ-900 is a good start if you want to switch your career in cloud Computing ,then get some knowledge around administration as well by taking AZ-104 will be also helpful. You can also try to familiarize yourself if Azure data on Azure by going through this document . Please also consider taking DP-900. You can get hand-on real time project experience by either doing volunteer job or get a free Azure Account and subscription to start using Azure , create or Azure SQL database , Azure Managed Instance etc.... But do I have to learn SQL programming in depth? Or DP-300 is enough to get a Job.

@AzureCracker-3769 I will suggest both SQL programming and DP-900 certification as well.

Microsoft Certification Program is supported on their own forums. I'd try asking for help in dedicated forums here. (Participate\Ask A Question)
