SSRS Errors in SSRS Log - Diagnostics.Utilities.NotEnabledException and Skipped instantiating Report Server PowerBI report server extension. Extension was not enabled.

Fellow SSRSers and DBA's,

We have SSRS sql 2016 Standard on a vm. the SSRS db is on another box - cluster.

We just went thru moving ssrs dbs to a new cluster - new was flipped to have the same name as the old cluster before we attached.

As for the ssrs scheduled jobs, we restored them from a script of the jobs from original server - again, new server name is the same.
Unfortunately, someone did not turn off the ssrs service. Regardless, all seemed to go well.

This morning it appears the first automated jobs started displaying these below messages (at the bottom) in the ssrs log.

We DO NOT have powerbi installed on the ssrs VM.
We rebooted ssrs twice. No change.

After examining the log, usually when we get the first error, it is followed by the 2nd info message.

The reports are working and although slow, email delivery does occur.

There was no security changes needed with our process.

Any suggestions? Thx MG

Hi @MarkGordon-2676 ,
You could try to check the specific type of error in the "Event Viewer".
Does the error occur during subscription management? You could try to re-deploy the report and re-create the subscriptions to see whether it works or not.
I am unable to reproduce your issue, and the error log you currently provide cannot find the problem. I suggest you reinstall the report server.
To be honest, because we can't check your environment, usually this kind of issue can't be resolved. You might as well try to provide us with more detailed information.
Best Regards,
Joy

HI Joyzhao,
Thanks so much for that info.

In the event viewer, anytime we got a failure, it appears that the only ERROR that shows up is:
The Report Server PowerBI extension failed to read its configuration settings from the RSReportServer.config configuration file. The extension is not available to users.

As of today, all of these errors I originally shared are GONE! All report jobs ran fine. There are no new errors either.
Something internally must have cleared this up because nothing was done by us to ssrs or the vm.

thx
MG

Hi @MarkGordon-2676
Do you mean that everything is working normally and no error message appears? The reason for your above error is related to subscription delivery, and your report subscription is being delivered normally.
Therefore, this may be a small situation when moving, you don't have to be too nervous.
If you have any questions later, you can always feel free to let me know.

Regards,
Joy
