Visio Pro 2019 stopped saving as PDF properly

Starting on April 11, 2021, my Visio Professional 2019 on my PC desktop stopped saving as PDF properly.

Only a portion of the page/canvas saves as a PDF. For instance, I have a diagram that is about 80-inches wide and 60-inches tall, but only one small corner of the diagram is saved as a PDF. Another diagram is 36-inches wide and 24-inches tall, but the PDF that gets saves is only about 32-inches wide, cutting off the right 4 inches.

I have also tried to "Export" and tp print to "Adobe PDF" and "Microsoft Print to PDF," they either save a PDF that is also just a portion of the actual diagram, or is larger or smaller than the canvas, and usually cuts off the diagram, or the PDF ends up being multi-page with the drawing cut up into many pages. I get no error messages.

I changed no settings and nothing else I know of has changed. The PDFs saved properly (by just clicking "save as" and selecting "PDF") until they just didn't last night, and now they won't.

I have used Visio for years (and this Visio Professional 2019 version has been on my PC desktop for one year) with no problems saving the diagram as a PDF. I see there was an update to the program today, and am concerned that caused the problem.

Does anyone have a solution?

I have the same problem, I use Visio Plan 2. A colleague of mine also have this problem - she uses Visio 2019. I cannot help to wonder if the issue is not related to the pdf driver but I have too little technical knowledge to investigate... it is just a thought.

I have a workaround though but may only work for people with Visio online. If I open the Visio doc in the Edge browser window, it gives me an option to download as pdf. That works and does not cut off the page.

I have the same case. Reinstalling Office did nothing.

Hi @NickSheedy-7424,
I suggest you go to File- Account and provide the detail version information about Visio here:

And try to provide the screenshots about problem in Visio and PDF.

You can also try to repair Visio to reset Visio to default settings:
https://support.microsoft.com/en-gb/office/repair-an-office-application-7821d4b6-7c1d-4205-aa0e-a6b40c5bb88b

Try these methods and check the result.

I have no subscription to Visio. I have the desktop version of Visio Professional 2019 that I bought a year ago. I paid $500 for it. Microsoft wants another $400 for 27/7 support to troubleshoot anything 1-1 with me.
