Azure Sphere SDK API Does Not Allow WiFi 5GHz vs 2.4GHz Band Selection/Steering

By default the Azure Sphere OS will connect to an AP using either the 5GHz or 2.4GHz bands. It is not clear what the selection criteria is when both bands are available.

The Sphere Application should be given an API to enable or disable either band so as to steer the WiFi to connect to the Applications preferred band.

This will help mitigate connection issues in challenging RF environments where one band has a more stable connection than the other.

Hi @JamesHiggins-7505 - Thanks for submitting the request. We do not have an API to select WiFi band through an API. We can add this to our uservoice feedback and consider this as a feature request.
