I can't access my Microsoft profile to schedule an exam, what could be the root cause?

Hello,

I keep getting the "We can’t access your Microsoft profile to schedule your exam." while trying to schedule AZ900 exam.

I followed the instructions

  • Use Internet Explorer (version 9 or above) or Edge

  • Clear all cache and cookies

  • Use the InPrivate option in Internet Explorer or Edge

with the same error repeating multiple times.

I contacted VUE Paerson, they couldn't give any other help than these same instructions.

Where may be the root cause, and what could I do?

For anyone with the same problem, Microsoft Certification Program forums have multiple similar issues.
I found that the problem in my case was a special character in my address "ä".
