Windows hotspot doesn't work when installing .NET 5 desktop runtime

I am trying to use a dns server on my pc that requires .NET 5.
For academical purposes, I need the hotspot of the same PC where I install .NET 5 to work properly.

The problem is that whenever I install .NET 5, when I connect my smartphone to the hotspot of the PC it says "internet not available". Than when I uninstall .NET 5 everything works fine.

Do you have any solution?

Sounds like you may need to engage the hardware manufacturer about driver support with .Net 5.0

I don't think that is the problem, because the very same issue occurs with other PC. I even tried with an old windows 7 PC, same thing.

I even tried with an old windows 7 PC, same thing.

The older hardware is even less likely to work. Regardless the hardware manufacturer will be your best resource to troubleshoot.

Yes, I thought about it.
In fact the newest pc that I have are a Dell Xps 15 and the latest Xps 13, both with a killer wireless card. Maybe it is the Killer wireless the problem. Thanks for your help, if you have any other suggestion please help me.

I bought a new wi-fi card. An intel AX210 and it works beautifully, except with the same issue that I posted here. Seems it was not a driver issue after all.
Please try to truly and honestly help me

Hi,

For testing purpose, if possible, you can use other laptop to do a test. Install .NET 5 and use hotspot on the other machines, if the issue still happens, I would suspect this is a compatibility issue.

If yes, then you can report this issue to Microsoft directly with the Feedback Hub app. The Feedback Hub app lets you tell Microsoft about any problems you run in to while using Windows 10.
