Hi ,

I have been setting up a Server 2019 instance for Remote Desktop services.

I have configured it using RSAT from my windows 10 Enterprise workstation.
This shows the setup with the collection configured.

However when trying to look at the configuration from the Server 2019 instance it's self it shows that there is no Remote Desktop Services deployment on the servers in the pool.
Also, none of the Remote Desktop cmdlets are available to PowerShell on the server.

I found the answer. The server was trying to connect to itself via IPv6. However WinRM is not allowed for any IPv6 addresses due to security policy.

For anyone experiencing this in future: Check your event log Applications and Services Logs/Microsoft/Windows/Windows Remote Management/Operational
    Event ID: 142
    error code 2150859027

If you have this my resolution was to untick the IPv6 setting in the ethernet properties.

    Hello @Patrick.D ,

Can you show any screenshot of the issue?
How did you configure server 2019 Remote Desktop services using RSAT on your Windows 10 Enterprise?
    Which roles have you installed?

The following document for your reference:

This is the way RSAT shows on the RDS server.

This is the way it shows on my workstation. On the workstation Remote Desktop Services RSAT tools and Server Manager RSAT tools.

The Server has the roles shown installed.

This workaround works for me (unticking IPv6). The fix is:

    winrm e winrm/config/listener

    ListeningOn = Didn't include an IPV6 address

Updated GPO at: Windows Settings\Administrative Templates\Windows Components\Windows Remote Management (WinRM)\WinRM Service

Allow Remote Server manage through WinRM

Make sure your IPv6 filter is configured properly. It was blank for me.

    Gpupdate /force and it worked
