Outlook app will pop up a prompt window every time when I open any attachment

Outlook app will pop up a prompt window ask me "how do you want to open this file" every time when I open any attachment via outlook. Even if the option "Always use this app to open" is checked, but outlook still will pop up the prompt window. No matter what type of files I open: PDF files, excel files, word files, only open the attachment on outlook will have this issue.

If I open any files on desktop, it can open directly.
I had try to uninstall Microsoft 365 and restart computer, and then reinstall Microsoft 365, but it have the same issue.
I had try to choose default apps by files type, but it also have the same issue.

Please kindly help to advise how to fix this issue.

I had get a solution on Microsoft Community as below:

Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > Windows Components > File Explorer:

"Do not show the 'new application installed" notification - set to Enabled

Glad to see your issue has been resolved and thanks for your kind sharing, it seems to be related to the windows settings.

Hi @FrankyYu-1376,

What's the version of your Outlook 365(File>Office account>About Outlook), please first ensure that you have updated to the latest version of Outlook client.

Based on my tests on Outlook 365(version 2103 Build 13901.20400), I could open the attachment directly with the default app, so in order to further confirm your issue, could other users in your organization work normally with their Outlook client? And did this issue occurred only recently? If so, have you performed any special operations before it(such as install any programs or add-ins )?

In order to avoid the interference of any add-ins, it's suggested to restart your Outlook in safe mode to check if the issue has any difference.(windows + R> type "Outlook.exe /safe">enter)
If the issue still exists, corrupted outlook profile may also cause it, please try to recreate a new profile and readd your account for testing(Control panel>show profiles>Add>readd your account)
