Recovery key not found

Hi,

Few users are getting recovery password. If I enter the first 8 digit of Recovery ID shown in the laptop to the helpdesk/KeyRecoveryPage.aspx then I get "recovery key not found".

Please let me know what may be the reason for the Recovery Key and Recovery Password not found in helpdesk/KeyRecoveryPage.aspx.

I see that laptop is healthy SCCM client

Take a computer which you can access from the same enviroment, make sure it is in MBAM reports and go through MBAM logs from Event Viewer / Application node. By doing this, you should ensure your MBAM infrastructure works propertly. MBAM recovery key renewal / check happends every 90min by default. If you have MBAM stand-alone, you could query keys directly from SQL, but with MBAM integraded with SCCM, keys are encrypted. You still can run queries and see if the machine name is present in SQL.

Thanks for the information. It is very useful.
But the workstation is unable to login then how can I check the MBAM logs from Event Viewer / Application node? is it in SCCM ?

Please guide me.

You can't. But that computer should not appear in your SCCM reports as well. In most cases, if reports works, recovery should work as well.
