Azure Wi-Fi disconnects-connects in long run

Hi,

We are running our custom device on the long run. We observed that during long run Wi-Fi disconnects and again reconnect after some minutes. We are sending data to cloud every 1 minute

This reconnection sometime takes 1.5hrs, 2hrs or even 3 hrs.

Do you have any suggestions on what could create this issue?

Thanks,
Pratik

There were few firmware updates rolled out with the latest 21.04 which is currently in Retail Eval release. Can you try with 21.04 and let me know if you are still seeing these disconnects? Thanks!

Here's the documentation on how to configure devices for retail eval

Hi @ChandraNekanti-3683

Currently all our devices are running on 21.03 firmware. Are there any issues with WiFi connection in this release?

Also, I will setup one device with 21.04 Retail Eval Release and will update you with the results.

Thanks,
Pratik

Hi @PratikPanchal-2323 - Now that the Retail version is released, did you have a chance to test with 21.04 version and see if that improved the wifi performance?

Hi @ChandraNekanti-3683,

We didn't get chance to look that yet. But, one thing we found that in our facility we have more then 100 Wi-Fi enabled devices and because of that Azure sphere sometime disconnects with the router.

When device is disconnected at the same time if I fire "azsphere dev wifi scan" command then also my router is not listed in the list.

We have updated code to use "targeted scan" and seems it resolves the issue.

Thanks,
Pratik
