Issues Trying to Migrating DNS Server

I'm currently trying to move my DNS server from the VM that contains the DC to the host machine, I tried following this documentation but it doesn't seem to work no matter how many times I try.

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/troubleshoot/windows-server/networking/move-zone-files-dns-server

Not sure what is meant. That document pertains to existing DNS server and moving zones. Separating the DNS role from active directory integrated to a non-AD server would be difficult if even possible to do.

mmmm, I'm just starting to get fed up with all this at this point...
All's that needs to be done is the host server be able to resolve outside host names such as google but at the same time be using the DNS of the domain controller, the VM for the domain controller can't even get internet access because I physically can't make an external virtual switch since the entire dedi is not behind NAT therefor I cannot set it to a local IP.......

The simplest solution may be to buy a NAT router, then connect an external vSwitch to it, connect domain controller and domain members to same external vSwitch.

Wouldn't be able to as it's all in OVH, managed to get it to have Internet Connection by running it on an Internal vSwitch and setting its DNS to 1.1.1.1

Not familiar with OVH?

Fairly new to it, guessing you can actually buy NAT with them, would that be the vRack service they offer?
