Very Slow moving mailboxes cross forest migration

Hello,
I am facing very slow mailbox moving in cross forest migration ,I also tried all solutions here without any effect

the error always "stalledduetotarget_disklatency" although the disk speed is over 1.5 GB/sec when I try to copy anything to the database disk even from the source to target server , while the speed of migration is around 20 GB per hour !

Hi @MoatazShaaban-7035

The error "stalledduetotarget_disklatency" may be caused by throttling on the target disk which ensures user experience.

It would be the expected behavior when currently the target server is in use, as client connectivity and mail flow would have a higher priority then mailbox migration.

Are you migrating mailboxes to an existing database?
Please create a new database on the target server and move mailboxes to it to see if the problem persists.

I will try to create a new one ,but is there a way to remove this disk throttling , I can't see any performance issue as processor ,memory and also disk latency and queue in the server

Hi,

Yes you should be able to disable the MRS throttling by change the value of MRS from 1 to 0 in registry.

However, this method was already mentioned in the link:https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/lync/en-US/d5916245-b826-4f5c-baaf-a690ee4bac72/exchange-2010-to-2016-mailbox-migration-very-very-slow?forum=Exch2016SD
Please refer to point 3 of ManU's answer.

In addition, if you cannot find the "MSExchange ResourceHealth" key in registry, please try adding it manually.

You may also need to restart the "Microsoft Exchange Mailbox Replication" service.
