Azure Active Directory Domain Services - More Pricing Tiers

Can we have more pricing tiers? I run a small consultancy business with 1 user and enabling AADDS will cost in excess of £90 a month, even though I won't have anything like the 25000 objects minimum tier cap. However AADDS is useful for demonstrating to SME clients how they can go cloud only so it would make sense to provide an entry level price point, for example max 2500 objects to suit the smaller scenarios.

AAD DS services is over 50% of monthly costs for many use cases. This is preventing growing and starting businesses to move to Azure cloud services. Please create a friendlier startup price plan.

We need a lower step in pricing tier in AADDS to get customers to the azure cloud.

Hello @MyproviderAdmin-1841,

Thank you for your feedback.

We are evaluating the pricing structure of AADDS however would be very interested to know what some of these smaller customers actually need in AADDS minimum tier cap. just ldap, kerb, gpo or Azure VM domain join etc.

Knowing the customer profiles would be very helpful while we are evaluating the pricing structure of AADDS. Thanks.

Regards,
Siva

Hello Siva,

I face several customers that want to start using WVD, they already have office 365 and no on premises AD.
The only thing they need the AADDS for is to be able to sign in with their O365 credentials.

On premises they already are able to sign in on Windows 10 Pro and Enterprise with their O365 credentials, however (correct me if i am wrong) to be able to use WVD and/or to sign in on any azure hosted Windows 10 Multisession desktop, you will minimally need to use Azure Active Directory Domain Services.

So I guess in most use cases it is just using the Azure VM domain join functionality.

Thank you for your response.

Jaap

We would only need serverless LDAP for some legacy NAS storages and VPN to remove our local AD an therefore all on prem resources.
The current pricing tier is way to expensive for 50-100 users only for LDAP auth.
We are also testing out WVD - so for us it's domain join and LDAP which would be interesting for a lower pricing tier.
I hope you can release a cheaper pricing tier soon, because we are striving to move als workloads to the cloud and AADDS would help a lot!

Using WVD for 5 users and the AADDS is the most expensive part. Nothing fancy needed.
