Backups files extremely slow - Stuck on "Data transfer completed and all backup up data is in the cloud

Hello,
i'm trying to transfert data files from onprem server to the cloud,
i have 4 disk to transfert, 3 at 500Gb (passed normally),
1 at 3Tb (taked too much time, from 23/04 until 27/04 and it still verifying data integrity)

-1st question: why it taked 4 days to en backup 3To files and taked just 10 minutes to backup 500Gb for the other disk
-2nd question: why i have in the disk just 3To (total capacity), and finally it backed up 5,5To, how MARS calculate the the disk space for the backup.

Thank you

@AliNJIM-1940 Sorry for the painful experience.

Are all the disks that you are backing up to Azure on the same machine? If yes, how have you scheduled the backups?

Moving a large volume of data will take longer than moving a smaller volume of data. In some cases, backup time is related to not only the size of the data, but also the number of files or folders.

I suggest you check this troubleshooting guide - https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/backup/backup-azure-troubleshoot-slow-backup-performance-issue#:~:text=When%20you%20use%20the%20Azure,or%20more%20of%20the%20following%3A&text=Another%20process%20or%20antivirus%20software%20is%20interfering%20with%20the%20Azure,Azure%20virtual%20machine%20(VM). might be helpful understanding that issue you are experiencing.

Hi SadiqhAhmed,

Thank you for your response,

all the disks are in the same machines, this is a filer, so i have too much small and large files,

the problem is not only time taked by the Backup, but the disk size backed up ->

Source disk space 3To (300Go free) -> destination backed up disk = 5,5To
is this normal?

thank you

@AliNJIM-1940 3 tb disk is expected to take some time in initial backup as it has to scan each and every file and the number of files would be high. Please allow the backup to complete. From the next backup, it will be incremental so it should take less time.

As far your question about 5.5 TB, it calculates the total data from all the drives not individual drives.

Where did you see 5.5 tb was backed up, in vault? Can you share the screenshot please?
