Teams Version: 1.4 Latest
System: Ubuntu 20.04

Hello,
For some reason, Banner notification doesn't work. I get the notification sound, but no banner, and this is horrible since the banner notification is way better than the Libpurple notification. Logs attached. Banner notification only works on teams_1.3.00.16851_amd64.deb. Not sure why.91852-logs.txt

    @Leonardo Bezerra Silva Junior ,

    To locate the log files, could you share with us the specific time when you receive messages in Teams client?

    I tested in Ubuntu 20.04 with Microsoft Teams version 1.4.00.7556(64-bit). When message comes, the banner notification will show in the top of the desktop Window as below.

    Above all, check if you enable banner notification in your client properly.
    Then, try to clear your client cache as below:

    rm -r ~/.config/Microsoft/Microsoft\ Teams\ -\ Insiders

    If no luck, you could try to sign out your Teams client and re-sign in again to check if this feature is recovered.

    If all the suggestions are no help, I want to confirm more question with you:

    What changes do you do before this problem happened?

    Does anyone else have the same problem?

    Hey @Sharon Zhao-MSFT ,
    So this is the native Linux notification (libnotify/notify-send). What I'm missing is the teams-native notification, the purple banner that appears when we receive a message, which is also present in the Windows version. In my opinion, they are way better than the native Ubuntu 20.04 notifications. Were they removed in the latest versions of teams-linux? Can you make them appear on latest versions? I know for a fact that teams_1.3.00.16851_amd64.deb still make them appear. I was digging it a little and saw this weird log on the latest teams-insiders:

    (electron) The default value of app.allowRendererProcessReuse is deprecated, it is currently "false". It will change to be "true" in Electron 9. For more information please check https://github.com/electron/electron/issues/18397

    I'll try removing the config and creating logs for both 1.3 and 1.4 versions that I'm using.

    Thanks for the quick feedback,
