I would like to know how changing my email address will affect my existing profile on my Windows PC.

We are using hybrid Azure AD participation to log in to Windows PCs and manage MDM on Intune.
We are about to implement a support to change the domain of the email address of the user.
We are trying to change the domain of the user's email address, and I was wondering if the user's domain is changed in ADDC and the user information is updated via AzureADConnect.
I noticed that the user profile logged in on the Windows PC might be affected.
As for what I want to know, I would like to know which of the following two behaviors will occur.
When I change my email address, my user profile is rewritten with the new information and I can continue to log in.
When you change your email address, the user profile you had before the change is no longer available and you need to create a new profile with the new email address.
In the latter case, it is necessary to back up the local data associated with the user profile that is currently being used.
In the latter case, I need to back up the local data associated with the current user profile.

Up to 10 attachments (including images) can be used with a maximum of 3.0 MiB each and 30.0 MiB total.

As far as I understand , If you were logging in to the system using DOMAIN\<username> then it should be fine and you will continue to use the same profile. but if you started logging on windows 10 PCs using user@domain.com UPN format then you will have to backup the associated data and with current user profile and then migrate it to the new profile folder. I would suggest to test it in your UAT environment before implementing it . It may also depend on how your profile based group policies are set .
