Microsoft Office Word

Hi! I am a lecturer at a university. In our online exam, one of my students said that she wrote her answers in shared mode on Word online application. When she recognized this, another student in the exam was using her exam paper, writing her answers on the first student's paper. Now both papers are alike and there is high similarity rate at Turnitin where they have submitted their exam papers. Can such a situation be possible? Can there be any other students who have seen their answers? Does it affect security of the exam? I will be content if you inform me on this issue. Thank you in advance.

There are several option to cheat in an online exam, e.g. they could start a MS Team Online Meeting and share each screen to others.
