Send Azure subscription diagnostic to Log Analytic workspace in a 2nd subscription

HI all.

I have 2 Azure subscriptions in a single tenant. Sub1 and Sub2
I have a Log Analytics workspace in Sub1.
I want to send diagnostics from Sub2 to the LA workspace in Sub1.
I know there is support for this, but cannot for life of me figure how to do it.

Any help appreciated.
Thanks.
P

@JasonHall-9620 Welcome to Microsoft Q&A and thank you for your query.

Checking in to see if you already tried to navigate to

  1. Subscription (sub2 in your case)

  2. Click on Activity log blade

  3. Click on Diagnostic settings

  4. Click on +Add diagnostic Setting

  5. Select the subscription and log analytics workspace you want to send these logs to , name the setting and save it.

In case you are trying to send diagnostic setting for any other Azure service, the process should be more or less same if you can navigate to "diagnostic setting" blade.

Please see if above information helps and call out if this is not meeting the requirement you had. Thanks

Ahh i see what i was doing wrong. On the Subscription bit I hadn't realised this was the subscription that houses the target workspace and had to be chosen! Doh!
Appreciate your help and thank you.
