Hi,
The Windows Virtual Desktop module is not built on .NET Core, so it cannot be run on macOS, Linux, Azure Cloud Shell, and wherever PowerShell Core 6.x or PowerShell Core 7.0 are supported.
Best regards,
Leon
Thanks LeonLaude,
I would have thought everything new would be built on PSCore. Any ideas on whether there is an intention to support it?
Not everything will be built on top of PSCore, you may provide feedback over at the WVD uservoice page over here:
https://windowsvirtualdesktop.uservoice.com/forums/921118-general
For the WVD GA release it is not likely that we are going to add PSCore support especially since we release the new WVD model that has the support for PS. Best option is to move from GA to new WVD (once the new WVD is out of preview)
