@VJ-8370 Thank you for your post and I apologize for the delayed response.
Is this existing CVO data store stored within VM managed disks or some Azure storage account?
Are you looking to move this data from CVO to VMs with managed disks? Just trying to understand the scenario to better assist you with a solution.
Hi Sadiq,
Thank you for your responses and apologies for my delayed reply.
NetApp CVO is installed on Azure VMs only and the data is stored on the data disks. We are looking to migrate the data from few other existing VMs (which has TBs of data) on to this NetApp CVO (NetApp CVO is segregated into different volumes and on top of it shares).
Both Azure VMs and the VMs which NetApp CVO is deployed are in the same Azure region.
Please let me know if any further details are required.
Regards,
VJ
If I understand correctly, you would like to move data (TB of files and folders) out of VM to the CVO, is that correct?
If you can get access to a CIFS share on the CVO from the VM (like "net use * \\cvoinstance|someshare" executed in command line on one of your VM) , then you can use NetApp xcp to migrate your files to your CVO instance...
Let me know if this helps.
@VJ-8370 Have you had a chance to see the previous response?
Could you please share the details?
