Hyper-V and HGS config

Hi All,

I am currently in between designing the correct way of implementing Hyper-V with HGS. I have a couple of questions to confirm if that is doable

  1. Can we create a Hyper-V cluster and deploy VMs and later deploy HGS and enable it on the Hyper-V ?

  2. HGS requires clustering, so does that mean we cannot deploy HGS on a Hyper-V clustered nodes ?

Hoping to have some answers on that.

Thanks,
NS

Hi,

Thanks for your posting!

1) Of course you can create a Hyper-V cluster first and then deploy HGS on the Hyper-V. Here is the article:

https://davidfleming.org/deploy-and-configure-a-3-node-2016-hyper-v-cluster//

The article shows how to configure a Hyper-V cluster and then enable HGS role on it.

2) I can hardly understand your second question.

Thanks for your understanding and support! Hope you have a wonderful day! : )
