Calculate Disk space for Microsoft Azure Backup Server (MABS)

Hello,

i m using Microsoft Azure Backup Server for backuping Hyper-V Vms in azure,
in MABS, it require backup the Vms in local disk before pushing it on the Cloud,

i want to know how to calculate the disk space required for local server for the machines.

i saw that there is a formule that say (DS*1.5), else please help me.

@AliNJIM-1990 - To find out local storage pool size you can use DPM Capacity planner.

You need to keep at least one copy of backup locally available (1 day retention). So minimum local storage required is total size of all the VMs protected plus delta (roughly 5 to 10% of total size based on your churn pattern and again capacity planner gives you exact number). Please ensure that the retention period for disk is minimal so reduce your local storage requirement. We recommend to move backups older than 5 days to recovery services vault.
