Problem with Hyper-V Sync Speed

Hello,

i added an Hyper-V Replication Server (HP DL380 G8 2x E5-2680 + 512GB RAM - 10GBit SFP+ - 7x5TB SATA drives (RAID5) - yes, it's not the newest Server, but good)

in same moment i added 10GBit Cards to all other Hyper-V-Hosts - connected to HP Arruba Switch.

everything working first (so that's what i thought) - started first replication syncs - LAN going up 5GBit on Replication Host.

after some minutes LAN drops down to some MBit or 0 - sync still running, but now RAM is growing and growing (up to 270GB)

in the same moment when i do a Hard disk benchmark the speed is very unclear sometimes just 20MB/s for 32KB-128KB Size i/o - and for 256KB and above still 4-5GB/s

nothing special in eventlog.

it depends to all 3 Hyper-V Host, so i think the problem will be on the Replication Host or Network - but i don't loose connection to it, so i don't think it's the network.

so my thought will be something with RAID - but don't know where to start - already recreated RAID with 64kb Stripe Size - to Test, and restart procedure - but same here. first Sync no problem, second also OK, after 15 Min the first will sync difference, and RAM growing, LAN speed from 2,4GBit to 10Mbit - and this is it - never getting better again.

don't know where to start - would be fine if someone can help :)

all Hosts are DL360 G9 - 256GB RAM - SSDs RAID5 and 2x 2690v4 with Server 2019 Std. - working great (for my luck)

instead of RAID5 i created RAID10 - i don't know if this really was the problem - got the error once again, but after that everything was fine.

so as expected the hardware / software combination was not the problem

Seems problematic running Server 2019

Might want to ask in the HP forums for help with this older hardware.

Unsupported hardware can be problematic and produce unexpected results. It doesn't mean it can't or won't work but does mean all of the testing / vetting of components that the hardware / server manufacturer's normally do is left to the end user to do. In the end, regardless of the outcome, you'll still be left with an unsupportable system.
