Lost photos

Recently deleted some photos to the recycle bin on my SSD "C" drive, and then deleted them from the bin. Having decided to restore 2 of them, i used Recuva software to search "C" but found no photos in fact nothing was found on "C" at all.
In the past when I have used Recuva it finds hundreds of photos from deletions and internet browsing, but now nothing. What's happened, where has everything gone?

Only the application developer knows for sure how it works under the hood. You'll need to ask the application developer or ask in their forums about this.
