How to stream video in powerBI from LVA module or azure media services?

Hi There!!

I am targeting to show the Video captured using RTSP and LVA module of Azure iot-edge, which is stored in Azure media services account to PowerBI desktop option.

Any help or any related documentation will be really helpful.

P.S. Aim to display the Video and the special captured events in powerBI (not the Azure media player stats).

@VivekSagarPandey-9638 I'm not certain about Power BI streaming but I would advise asking the community over at https://community.powerbi.com/. I did reach out to our Media Services team for any limitations and will update when hear back. I don't foresee any since LVA assets can be streamed over HTTP.

Hi Ryanchill,

Thanks for answering the question.
I was waiting for some more updates from your side as you were checking this with Media Services team.

Till now I am able to embed the video in azure media player and using the shared link of Azure media play i am able to stream the video in powerBI.

But, what I was looking for is different, some issues are:
1. Once the LVA feed is saved in 'Assets' in Azure Media Services accounts, it donot get published automatically.
2. Since, there will be thousands of videos as an asset, creating Azure media player and embedding it every single time in powerBi is not possible.

So, What I am expecting is some way in which all the events get stored in Blob in video format and then how to take it to powerBI.

If you can share some information that will be helpful.

Thanks!!

Management of media assets is completely your discretion. Meaning your same LVA application that is creating the media service assets, and subsequently the storage container, should also handle the asset publishing. Please see https://docs.microsoft.com/azure/azure-video-analyzer/video-analyzer-docs/embed-player-in-power-bi on how Azure Video Analyzer enables this scenario.

We're looking into this use case as well. Let us know if this is still of interest. Thanks
