As we are mainly responsible for Microsoft Teams, your question is not in our scope. I changed office-teams-windows-itpro tag to office-word-itpro tag. Thanks for your understanding.

Hi @ELEONORABERNARDI-4004

If you deleted a Word document without emptying the Recycle Bin, you might be able to restore the document.

  1. Double-click the Recycle Bin on the Desktop.

  2. Search through the list of documents to see whether the deleted word file is still there. If you don't know the name, look for file types such as .doc, .docx, and .dot.

  3. If you find the desired Word file, right-click the file name, and then select Restore to recover the file.

Is this Word document synced to Onedrive?
If yes, you could refer to "Restore deleted files or folders in OneDrive" to have a check.

Besides, Word also features an AutoRecover feature that sometimes stores backup copies of files, in case they're lost or damaged.
To find these files, go to File>Options>Save, find AutoRecover file location and browse to this directory using the Windows Explorer to see if a backup of your file is present. If so, open it with Word and save it to a new location.

Hope the information helps.

Unfortunately I have deleted the file also from the bin, by the way I have a Mac is it possible to do the third procedure(autorecover) also for Mac?
