SSAS Multidimension Migration from 2012 to 2019 - Not able to Browse or See the Measure Groups

Hi ,
I have Deployed by SSAS Multi Dimensional model from SQL 2012 to 2019. I am seeing two issues after doing Full Processing
1. Not able to Browse the cube in SSMS(Note I am the server admin it is not any role issues)
2. I am able to connect to the cube via excel. I can see all dimension but I see only few Measures (say 10 out of 50). Measure Folders are showing correctly for these measures but they are not under the proper measure groups. Everything is rolling under delaut Values

What should is the reason for this. The solution is working Perfectly fine in 2012.

Hi,

Follow which steps have you done the migration? When you use SSMS to browse it, what error did you get ?

The multidemensional cube has not changed the structure from 2012 to 2019 very much, I guess there is some abnormaly during the process. If you have backup file of the 2012, you could try the migration again. Or try fix the meausure issue manually and try to re-process and deploy the cube.

Regards,
Lukas

I was able to resolve Point 2 in my original question. It was issue with perspective. I enabled the required measures in the the perspective and I was able to see the measures in excel.

But I cannot still browse the cube in SSMS(Point one). I found that when I delete the perspective and Deploy I am able to browse it. However VS is not allowing me to create the perspective back again with the same name and it keeps telling me that the perspective already exists. What could be the reason?
