Error joining server to failover cluster Server 2012 R2

We have an issue that is popping up when trying to join a new server to our existing failover cluster. There are currently two servers in the cluster and we are trying to add a third. The error occurs during validation and is giving the error: "Failed when verifying removal of any persistant reservation on physical disk (unique identifier) at node (server name)." After we did this we noticed that it took one of our drives offline on that server and we had to bring it back online. Have any of you seen this before?

Hi,
I did some research and it seems that this issue could be resolved by 2 means.
First of all, please try the following Powershell command line to clear the PR on this disk:
Clear-ClusterDiskReservation
If it doesn’t work, please try upgrading to the latest controller firmware and latest MDSM.

Thanks for your time.
Best regards,
Danny
