Font incorrect in Edge (and Chrome) but correct in Firefox

I am viewing an existing web page that is not my own.
When I view the page in Firefox, the font displays correctly.
When I view the page in Edge (and also in Chrome), the font displays incorrectly.
Other users are able to view the font correctly in both Firefox and in chromium based browsers.

The font is Georgia.
The character is U+2013 En Dash

I have already uninstalled all non-system fonts, cleared my font cache, and restarted my PC. My OS is Windows 10 Pro, v, 10.0.19042 and the system installed Georgia font is v 5.59.

How do I correct this issue so that I can use Edge and have a proper font display?

Below is a screenshot with Firefox on the left and Edge on the right:

Hi @shad0wfax-1681
Which version of Edge are you using? Does the font issue only happen in one site or in many sites? It could be better if you can provide the url of the web page so that we can have a test.
Besides, please compare if there's any difference between the working Edge and the non-working Edge. You can compare the settings, versions and so on. You can also compare the differences between the working computer and non-working computer. It can help to narrow down the issue. Sometimes things like GPU drivers can also lead such issue.

Microsoft Edge Version 90.0.818.56 (Official build) (64-bit)

URL: http://www.purpleworm.org/rules/CBE/DD04733.htm

Fonts installed on working Edge and Chrome PC are default, same version of both browsers.

An "In Private" browser view of the same URL displays the font correctly.

The error would persist for all devices where my MS account was signed in on. Disabling Sync on all logged in devices, resetting the profile, and then re-enabling sync corrected the issue.

The error is now corrected.

Make sure update to the latest version of the Microsoft Edge.
Report this issue through the feedback option, take a look at:

I'll answer this as "resolved" as reporting this issue in Edge may be more appropriate for Edge issues.

I have the same problem. I have an NVIDIA GPU. The above issue does not happen on all websites, only some.

Synch makes no difference because even with Edge I am not synched. I have downloaded portable and full versions of Chromium based browsers like Chrome, Brave, and Opera. They all have the same problem with some fonts. However, there is no issue with Firefox.

Visiting the problematic websites have no issue when using Firefox. And of course, I'm using the latest versions of the browsers, drivers, and Windows Update on Win10x64
