visual studio 2019 doesn't recognize v120 (vs2013)

I'm a user of vs2019.
I was given a project that requires vs2013(v120) platform toolset from my colleague.
I installed "Microsoft Build Tools 2013" and "Microsoft Visual C++ 2013 Redistributable (x86)", but still cannot build the project.

I think I finished installing everything, but vs2019 still won't build the project.

Platform Toolset : Visual Studio 2013 (v120) (not installed)

Please help me!

Hi @aa-9375 ,

Welcome to Microsoft Q&A!

It seems that the VS2013 (v120) isn’t currently available in Visual Studio 2019. I suggest you target the latest platform toolset in Visual studio 2019.
Meanwhile, you can also report it to product team engineers by selecting “Help” menu > Send Feedback > Report a Problem.

Thank you for helping us build a better Visual Studio!

Sincerely,
Anna

I have some question...
My colleague is using the project with platform toolsets v120 in VS2019.
He said that he installed vs2013 community.
However, I cannot access the page providing vs2013-install.exe, so I tried installing"Microsoft Build Tools 2013"and "Microsoft Visual C ++ 2013 Redistributable (x86)".
1. My trial to install "Microsoft Build Tools 2013"and "Microsoft Visual C ++ 2013 Redistributable (x86)" is not neccessary?
2. Does Your answer (v120 isn't available in Visual Studio2019) mean that there's an error in vs2019?

Hi @aa-9375, Visual Studio 2015 and older web installer files were removed from the Microsoft Download Center. You could download and install the ISO image of Visual Studio Community 2013 with Update 5 to acquire the VS2013 (v120).

I really thank you for your replying!
but I'm still in trouble.. T0T
Well, the link you gave doesn't offer any download.
It shows me "Sorry, we couldn’t find your subscription"
In this situation, am I unable to acquire VS2013(v120)???

(I had signed in when I was visitting the page)

  • I succeeded to get install.exe (update 5 and others), but I cannot fully install that.
Installer shows me "unable to locate package source".
    I almost gave up....
