Azure AD not populating Job Title change

We have an On-Prem Windows Server with ADDS installed. All edits to any attributes populate through Azure AD Connect installed on the server. The sync has successfully run a number of times and time elapsed has reached 14 days, but the Job Title in Azure AD has still not populated with the updated Title in Active Directory on Prem. This of course causes Teams and Outlook to display the 'old' job title. Is there any way to force this attribute to sync?

The title cannot be changed directly through Azure AD because of the current hybrid setup.

@NiallRowanLlywarch Thanks for reaching out.

Most of the times, a normal delta change in that attribute should trigger the sync again. So try changing the Job Title with something like extra space or capital or small letters so that it changes the previous title.

If that does not sync the attribute, you would need to follow our troubleshooting guide here.

@vipulsparsh-MSFT Thank you for your response.

After some further investigation it seems the issue with the Title not updating was due to another attribute having sync errors, causing the attribute we wanted to update (title) to not update. It appears that if there are sync errors for a user then no other attributes will update, effectively causing a bottleneck. Clearing these errors in AD Connect and triggering a delta sync has now successfully populated the change through to AAD

Issue was due to Sync Errors relating to another attribute causing a bottleneck in AD Connect. Errors in sync needed to be cleared for that particular user before any other attributes would successfully populate
