Event ID 4776 logging onto imap

We have an application trying to log onto our Exchange server using imap. we are getting this event:

Event ID 4776

The computer attempted to validate the credentials for an account.

Authentication Package: MICROSOFT_AUTHENTICATION_PACKAGE_V1_0
Logon Account: XXXXXXX
Source Workstation: XXXX
Error Code: 0xC0000064

Where 0xC0000064 seems to means "user name does not exist"

But the user does exist and have a mailbox.

Any suggestions on how to troubleshoot this?

Thanks,

Rich

Hi,
Thank you for posting in our forum

If the user is confirmed to exist, the problem will be a bit complicated

According to my knowledge and experience, an exception occurred during ldap query.

So now a better solution should be to enable netlogon and monitor for a period of time

Hope this information can help you
