After updating to Office 2019 I get Run Time error 1004

After I updated from Office 2016 to 2019 I am getting Run time error 1004. This happens when I close the workbook. Even opening a blank workbook and closing it right away (no96386-1004-error.jpg code) it gives me the Error 1004, and the Debug button is greyed out (again, no code)

@Gregoryaa-8991

Have you run VBA code on these workbooks?
This error message seems to be related to VBA code.
If yes, to better help you, it's recommedned to add a new tag "office-vba-dev" and provide the detailed code.
Here is an article, "Excel automation fails second time code runs", you may have a look.

From the perspective of Office, I suggest you try the following steps to check this issue.

  1. Navigate to C:\Users\<User Name>\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Excel\XLSTART , check if there are any files/folders. Please make a backup for them and remove these files/folders.

  2. Besides, please go to Options > Add-ins > Manage, untick the checkboxes of Excel Add-ins and COM Add-ins, then restart Excel to have a look.

  3. If the stpes above do not work, I would also suggest you uninstall Office completely and reinstall it to have a check.

Any updates, you may post back.
