azure documentation on ingesting data from sources

According to tech support, there's no documentation in Microsoft anywhere on how to look at or check anything related to security for "ingesting" data sources using the "ingest" capability in synapse studio. Trying to access/ingest a sql DB from the synapse studio is throwing an error and I'm trying to check Azure for any firewall for security issues. After sending multiple pictures to support to show the exact part of synapse studio I meant96710-sftp-is-an-option.pdf, I was informed that no such documentation existed and this had to be "escalated "
This is that escalation.

Hello @JamesBarnebee-0929,

Welcome to the Microsoft Q&A platform.

When you say "trying to access a SQL DB", does it mean Azure SQL DB?

When you say "synapse studio is throwing an error", could you please share the error message which you are experiencing along with the screenshot?

Please do share the (support request) SR number to get more details on your issue?

Meanwhile, you can checkout the below articles which helps to ingest data from Azure SQL DB to Azure Synapse Analytics:

Quickstart: Load data into dedicated SQL pool using the copy activity

Ingest data into a dedicated SQL pool

Hope this helps.
