HDInsight cluster(Hadoop) creation problem

Hi, I need to use HDInsight sets(hadoop) for my homework for a short time. I called all the sources, but I couldn't upload them. I made a zone change for the solution did not work, I wrote 1 in the node field, but the problem was not solved, I think HDInsight is not allowed to occur with a student account.

Would you allow me to temporarily create HDInsight clusters(hadoop) for my assignment? I'm waiting for your help.

Error message I received:

You have reached the base quota limit for your eastern US 2 subscription. To increase your eastern US 2 limit, please select a different region or request billing support.

Welcome to the Microsoft Q&A platform.

Unfortunately, you cannot create Azure HDInsight cluster with the Student subscription.

Reason: With Azure Student subscription, you will initially be able to access only Azure services that are available with a free tier of service use.

You may want to look at a pay-as-you-go subscription as this should allow you to deploy a cluster, however, may not allow you to utilize the benefits of a student subscription.

Hi, the HDInsight I mentioned earlier, I'll just use it for my homework. I'm thinking of making a pay-as-you-go model using my subscription type, and after I submit my homework, I'll delete HDInsight, test it for no more than 15 days, and then deleted.

If I do this, will my credit card be charged?

Yes, you will be charged from your credit card.

Azure HDInsight Clusters billed on a per minute basis, clusters run a group of nodes depending on the component. Nodes vary by group (e.g. Worker Node, Head Node, etc.), quantity, and instance type (e.g. D13 v2).

Here is an example on how Azure HDInsight billing works?

If you run a cluster for 100 hours in US East with two D13 v2 head nodes and three D12 v2 data nodes, the billing would be the following in the two scenarios:

On a Standard HDInsight cluster—100 hours x (2 x $0.7476/hour + 3 x $0.3738/hour) = $261.66

On a Standard HDInsight cluster with Enterprise Security Package—100 hours x (2 x $0.7476/hour + 3 x $0.3738/hour) + 100 hours x (2 x 8 + 3 x 4 + 3 x 2) x $0.01/core-hour = $295.66

Finally, I want to ask you something.When I switch to the pay-as-you-go membership model, you give me a $ 200 gift balance for the first month, can't I buy HDInsight clusters with that balance and use them for 1 month? I mean, can I test for 1 month with gift balance without paying at all from my credit card?

Thanks for the follow-up question.

When you upgrade your Azure free account, you keep your remaining credit for the full 30 days from when you signed up. For example, if you signed up on May 1 and upgrade on May 5, any unused credits will be available until May 30.
