RDP session to Windows 10, locks after 10 minutes or so.....

Hi
Having an issue with WIn10 devices that locks the screen after around 10 minutes on a RDP session.
Physical logon does not seem to lock, but it is RDP sessions that locks.
Screensaver is disabled, and on resume password is not ticked. Hibernate/Sleep is all disabled.
Set time limit for active but idle Remote Desktop Services sessions policy has also been set to "never".
No difference. I have seen some posts about network settings can impact this.
Before hassling the network guys, anything else i could try from the client side? Thanks. Dave.

Up to 10 attachments (including images) can be used with a maximum of 3.0 MiB each and 30.0 MiB total.

This has been the case with one of my HP PCs for several years now. The only thing that worked for me is to set media player to play an album continuously, right after I log in, and mute it.

That's strange.

You have done every possible thing.

Look at the Event Viewer application error log ( if any).

I shall suggest you to try Microsoft Remote Desktop

Hi,

Let's check the following information for further research.

Have you changed some settings before getting started with the Remote Desktop connection?
Does the connection depend on two devices or an RDS environment deployment (this contains the servers and roles to create a fully effective RDS environment)?
Also, please descript the environment configurations based on Remote Desktop Services deployment.
If the errors occurred in an RDS environment, do errors happen on most users or some user?

Let’s try to log on the session in console mode (run mstsc /console) with user credentials which has lock issue, to see if it still slow.
We also need to confirm the lock screen issue occurred in which process. Take a screenshot of lasted long crash and leave it to us. (Typically RDP log on will involve file loading, process loading, etc.)
In the meanwhile, you could check the local and remote computer Event Logs via Event Viewer and see if there are error occurred.

Hi
Sorry about the late reply.
No nothing worked.
admin mode console didn't make any difference.
We are now going to look into this from the network side of things. I have read that certain network settings can cause this too.

Thanks
Dave
