See Lifecycle FAQ - Internet Explorer and Microsoft Edge. It says Internet Explorer is a component of the Windows operating system. In other words, IE cannot be uninstalled. That article also says Internet Explorer 11 will continue receiving security updates and technical support for the lifecycle of the version of Windows on which it is installed. In other words, IE will always be a part of Windows 10 and previous versions of Windows.
Don’t worry, you could install Microsoft Edge for Windows 7 easily on your computer and it will not influence IE anymore, I have tested on my Windows 7 machine. Edge now is not a Store app but a desktop app, just like IE and Chrome.
