Azure and teams Display name change after the domain change

Hi there, We have a hybrid environment with Azure and On-prem infrastructure. We recently went through the process re-branding and domain name change.
I understand it's not possible to change the organization name/tenant name in Azure.
The question I have is that if there is a way to change the organization name in Teams login. So when the users login to Teams client, it shows the old organization name.

There is an option to change the display name in Azure under properties but I am not about the repercussions of changing that.

Has anyone done this and if it's possible to change the organization name under Teams client and /or Azure ?

Thanks in advance.
Nitin

Hi @NitinKumar-7277

Do you mean you want to change the organization name in Microsoft Teams?

If so, you could try to follow these steps to see if it works for you:

1) Login to Microsoft 365 admin center with the global account

2)In the admin center, go to the Settings > Org settings page.

3)On the Organization profile tab, select Organization information.

4)Update your organization's information, then select Save changes. Be sure to fill in all required fields marked with an * to enable saving your changes.

Hi @JimmyYang-MSFT ,

Thanks for the update.
I saw the option but would like to make sure that this will not have any other adverse affect other than the name change.

The Microsoft documentation does not seem mention any risks either.
I noticed that One Drive on a client machine uses the Organization Name. Will the change cause any issues with One drive sync, files shared with another users or any other O365 application issues
Can you please confirm ?

Thanks
