Hi Power Query Gurus,
I hope I am asking this question in the right place. My apologies if I am mistaken.
We are building a BI solution for Navision. And we will deliver the reporting/dashboards in Excel.
The plan is to use power query behind excel rather than SSAS.
What we are doing is using another product to take data from our data warehouse and put it into power query inside excel.
The excel workbook will only contain the data needed by the user of that specific workbook.
It's all working fine to create the workbooks. It could be faster and we are looking in to that.
But a problem we would like to solve is the "first click performance" in excel on the desktop. (It seems pretty fast in excel on the web.)
When we open up a dashboard and click on a slicer for the first time inside excel O365 it is doing a set of work which looks like loading the power query into memory.
We have tied refreshing on open and that just makes the open take a long time.
I am guessing other people have seen this problem and am hoping there is a remedy or it's a known problem being worked on.
If anyone wants to see a sample dashboard and see what I mean by a slow first click it can be downloaded from here.
But I imagine the power query gurus know what I mean.

Thank you in advance for any advice you can offer.
