SCOM 2019: DFS (System Center Management Health Service Credentials Not Found Alert Message)

Hello All,

In SCOM 2019 we had imported the DFS MP version 10.1.0.3.
after importing the MP we created the Run As Account as "XXXX-DFS Monitor" and selected couple of Computers in Distribution.

latter we also added the above mentioned Run As account to the Profile "DFS Replication Monitoring Account". please find the attached screen shot for reference.

we now see few other servers generating alert as "System Center Management Health Service Credentials Not Found Alert Message"

Alert Description: An account specified in the Run As profile "Microsoft.Windows.FileServer.DFSR.MonitoringAccount" cannot be resolved.
This condition may have occurred because the account is not configured to be distributed to this computer. To resolve this problem, you need to open the Run As profile specified below, locate the account entry as specified by its SSID, and either choose to distribute the account to this computer if appropriate, or change the setting in the profile so that the target object does not use the specified account.
Note: you may use the command shell to get the Run As account display name by its SSID.
Management Group: XXXXMG02
Run As Profile: Microsoft.Windows.FileServer.DFSR.MonitoringAccount
Account SSID: 00DB6E123EFE62C78DCE6B232AB9D32978F15B8B600000000000000000000000000000000000000

@kumaravelu-1265, For our error, we can try the following steps to see if it is fixed:
1.Open SCOM Console
2.Click on Administration pane
3.Click on Accounts and find the affected RunAs account
4.Right click it and select Distribution tab
5.Check to see if the computer is already listed under “More Secure” .If the computer is not found in step 5, add it. Search for the computer by name, Add it to the distribution, Select “OK”.

Hi Crystal,

Thank you for the update.

We have added only two servers which we require DFS monitoring, however we received the above mentioned alerts for the servers which we do not want to monitor the DFS monitoring.

@kumaravelu-1265, For other servers we didn't need monitoring, we can check the alert details and find the monitor name. Then try to disable the monitor for these objects using overrides. here is a link with the detailed steps for the reference:
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/system-center/scom/manage-enable-or-disable-rule-monitor?view=sc-om-2019

Hope it can help.
